Our emphasis was on anartha-nivrtti, overcoming mundane impediments in the heart: first deserve, then desire.

Vraja Bhava

I was recently invited to a program in Eugene, Oregon where it was said that the program would be in "vraja-bhava" so I was wondering how special is vraja-bhava and how does one actually attain it? When I went to the program there were various Hindi bhajans that I had never heard before and also some bhajans of Mirabai.

Class from Follow the Angels

From adau sraddha to prema, faith guides us to saranagati (surrender). We must recognize our own self-deception before we can really surrender to Krsna. Our independence spoils the mood of surrender.

Timingila – Myth or Fact?

The Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayana, Mahabharata and other Vedic literatures often speak of fantastic places and of creatures that may have once lived on this planet. One such creature was the Timingila fish. The Timingila is said to have been the most formidable predator in the oceans. It was enormous in size and its favorite food was said to have been whales.
